Using mnemonic symbols to create subconscious connections to a place both past and present.  This 'subway map' represents Mannahatta, the island known today as Manhattan.

Driftwood and thread from the banks of the Hudson River and copper from discarded phone chargers portray the Upper West Side; blocks of spatial colour representing water and parks, subway stops along Broadways No.1 line  a flicker of the original bedrock of Central Park.
